Woohoo!

I finished 5 more socks yesterday for a grand total of 23 small ones completely finished!! 37 more to go and I'll be done. I was sweating it for awhile there...but now I'm on a roll and can see I will be done in plenty of time!!

Hooray!

I see Mar's "Sock Counter" is at 60! (Applause, applause).

I'm doing everything step by step, so once I start getting the socks stitched down, they'll go like crazy! So far I have: everything cut out, the small socks all edge-starched and basted together, and some of the large socks prepped. Guess what I'm doing this month?

Well Thump Me On The Head!

I discovered, after doing 20 small blocks by appliqueing the sock down and then the heel an toe, that it's way easier to applique the heel and toe to the sock before putting it on the background. I spent all 3 show-n-tells and 6 hours in the car on the way home from RIM stitching the socks down and then the heel and toe. Sitting with Dan on Saturday night I tried it the other way and WOW, I sure do like it better.

I wonder if Rebecca remembered to take her socks to RIM? How's everyone doing? You are all too quiet. Is that because you are so busy working on your socks?

I have 1 sock completely done. One thing I have discovered with putting on the heels and toes is the my nails are getting in the way.....think I will have to have her shorten them next time I go in for a fill...

2 almost there

Last night while watching the rest of a baseball game I turned on my new lamp and sewed down 2 of my socks. That new light sure did make a huge difference!
