Since I'm half way done with my large socks, I'll give you a peek at what I've been up to. All of my socks look like this, but the backgrounds will vary between the 3 that I have cut.
How is everyone else doing?

Sock #2

I did this one last night watching television and I'm surprised at how quickly it went. I had navy thread on a needle from a binding that I finished the night before, so that's what I used.

My First Completed Sock

Well, one down and 59 to go, right?
This one will be one on mine as the background isn't quite big enough without a bit of the selvage. Also, it's been a long time since I did hand applique and wouldn't want anyone else to have to have my first ones.

Thread?

What kind of thread is everyone using? And are you matching your thread to your fabrics or going with something that will blend in?

Double Applique?

How is everyone doing the heel, toe and top cuff of the socks?

I have started to hand applique a small sock, but don't know if I should go ahead and do the whole sock and then add the heel and toe to it.

to use for background and socks...also going to check some of my charms and see what there might be that can be used for toes and heels...I like your counter for keeping track of how many blocks you have done....might have to get one of those for me! LOL

These are what I pulled for the socks, but then realized that I should be using homespuns, so I will probably use some of these FQ packs (I have a bunch) of homespuns with a few of the others mixed in.
